MixVibes made this year again the best impression at NAMM, world’s biggest musical products show and wants therefore to thank those who actively contributed to its success. VFX CONTROL is definitly surfing on a “Music sounds better in motion!” era … and the NAMM’s acclamation towards this unique product confirms it once more.
This was with a great deal of satisfaction that MixVibes gathered all those very positive feedbacks, which foretell a bright future to VFX CONTROL. Again, thank you for your support and trust and hope to see you again in 2011!
Once again, MixVibes is pleased to participate to the 2010 edition of the music product world’s most important trade show: the NAMM Trade Show.
This year, MixVibes will have its stand on booth 7123.
MixVibes will present its two first-off products VFX CONTROL and CROSS PACK with its freshly released 1.3 version.
Exclusive demos and showcases will be performed on CROSS 1.3 exclusively by infamous DJ TROUBL’ and by D-FRANK on VFX CONTROL. Loads of novalties and surprises are awaited, come check us out!
On Saturday the 17th, you are invited to a big try-out session on the MixVibes booth, where you will be able to show-off your skills on CROSS and VFX! You don’t need to be a pro to be rewarded with loads of cool goodies such as T-Shirts, vinyl records and more … so come out and play!

CROSS 1.3 is a powerful update geared towards offering a realistic vinyl and CD feel in all control modes:
- Accurate scratch in all playback modes: absolute, relative, master tempo, hybrid.
- Skip-free mixing with the new anti-skip feature (in relative mode).
- Drift-free vinyl control for accurate scratching and beat juggling now in all modes.
- Silent Peak/BPM analysis of tracks to avoid any audio drop-outs or GUI micro freezes.
- Optimized light GUI to avoid overcharging the processor.

We want to thank all visitors and DJs who came on the MixVibes Stand at the Music Expo trade show last 11th and 12th December. We had the pleasure to introduce and show, MixVibes classics such as DVS as well as more recent gear like CROSS and VFX CONTROL.

MixVibes is looking for fresh talents in the community to come share some love on the dancefloor for the 10 years birthday party in Paris.
The contest :
- Shoot and post a video of you mixing with your preferred MixVibes software
- You can use any MixVibes software with your preferred controller, CD, turntables or MIDI.
- The video must include visual of your hands and waveforms on the software.
- The video must last between 5 and 10 minutes
- The jury will be composed of members of the MixVibes staff
-The video will be judged according the following :
* Tracks selection
* Mixing technique
* Originality

This 10th birthday is especially significant as it coincides with the new partnership of MixVibes and Pioneer on the rekordbox project. This alliance with the leader in professional DJ hardware is the consecration of MixVibes’ commitment to delivering the best quality DJ solutions and staying on top of innovation.
MixVibes is proud to announce its cooperation with Pioneer in the development of rekordbox music file management software. Today Pioneer unveiled the CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900 multi players with rekordbox, as previewed in the “Dawn of a New Species” online teasers.
rekordbox is based on MixVibes Cross’ advanced media management functionality, and was developed for use in combination with Pioneer products. MixVibes was selected to develop rekordbox due to its ten years of experience in developing stable, high quality audio software for DJs. Like MixVibes Cross, rekordbox is built around a high-end audio engine to deliver high quality features, such as cue, loops, hot cues and the deck layout is based on the new CDJ hardware.
Pioneer issued the following statement:
Based on Pioneer’s ‘Prepare & Perform’ concept, rekordbox works (for both Mac and PC) like the leading music database management software, but is more creative and more DJ-friendly. rekordbox allows DJs to prepare more before their performance and opens a door to tools such as Hot Cue Banks and Quantize, for perfectly synced loops every time. DJs can then export data to a USB or SD device to access vast libraries of music files and perform live – without the need for extra equipment or any inconvenient rewiring in the club. No need to burn CDs, simply take your USB device to the club, plug in to the CDJ and play. Through the industry-first Pro DJ Link, music files and database data on one single USB or SD device can be shared simultaneously by up to four players connected via LAN (local area network) cable. Plus, the data history of each DJ set is automatically saved and can be made into a playlist that can be loaded back into rekordbox.
A major update of CROSS is planned this year and will include native support with the Pioneer CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900 for plug and play compatibility as well as many exclusive new features.

For the first time, MixVibes proudly attends the french major electronic music street event: The Technoparade. This event gathers each year hundreds of thousands music lovers. In collaboration with Technopol, MixVibes will be on the Aphrodeejays‘ float. Some of the finest DJs (DJ Paulette, Eric Kaufmann…) will be attending this event with us and all MixVibes geared-up!
