TTC -- a trio formed by Tido Berman, Teki Latex, and Cuizinier -- is one of the few acts in the hip-hop underground of France, a country with deep ties to rap of the mainstream variety. The group self-released their first single, "Game Over '99," in 1999, but when the record was dropped off at the office of Big Dada Records, label head Will Ashon signed them to a contract. The singles "Leguman" and "Elementaire" preceded a lengthy world tour and the release of their first full-length, 2002's Ceci N'Est Pas un Disque. The remix EP De Pauvre Riches followed later that year. — John Bush, Rovi
